I have been living in this community for more than 2 years now and not a single time I can appreciate the leasing office staff except David Passate, but he left few months back.

Anyway, here are some facts :

I had three burgulary burglaries in my garage. I can not disclose what I lost due to the police involvment in this issue ( Police case is still pending ). And, while talking to Detective I came to know that it was not just my garage, there are many garages were robbed. People lost their Laptop, GPS , iPod etc. And, two police officers actually stay in this community in fact just next to my own building. Still it happened few times. Police said our apartment leasing office is not cooperating at all with this kind of issues. If you don't believe me then please visit Reston Police station and ask the Police Office who is working on these cases.

Many times community gates are broken so anyone can come in the night. I called few times cab early morning for Dulles Airport and I was surprised to see cab just below my apartment building. The driver told me that 80% of the time gates are not locked.

I gave my garage back and they charged me two months of Rent for that Garage, even though it was due to the lack of security in their community. Moreover, the Leasing office manager was really rude on phone so I gave up even talking to her.

If your lease expires and you are on month-to-month lease, then be prepared to pay market rent $200 fees. They won't tell you the truth if you ask them. I was told that I have to pay $200 my current rent which is few hundred dollars lower than the current market rent. I am fine with the $200 fees but I was shocked since I asked two-three times before my lease expired, that how much extra money I have to pay if I go with month-to-month, and I was told by two different persons that I have to pay my rent (NOT the current market rent) $200 fee. Again, staff was not co-operative at all during this deal.

NEGOTIATE, NEGOTIATE, NEGOTIATE the rent. I came to know from one of my friends that the same apartment was given couple of hundreds less than what I was told. So, you can negotiate the rent with leasing office before you sign the lease because once you sign the lease, you will see their real face.

No, I do/did not work for Dulles Greene. Just someone who reads her lease, asks questions, is not paranoid, and actually pays attention!
