We got our first apartment together and were blinded by excitement & optimism. The apartment was nice... apart from the 3 flights of stairs we had to walk up. Parking can be difficult if you have guests. Everything was great until towards the end. We had just gotten a new puppy and on it's FIRST day alone, it cried during the day. (surprise, surprise -- puppies cry when left alone!). Our neighbors below us complained to management, we got a letter from them asking us to cease that from happening again. The puppy's mother had been hit by a car and was killed. We had to take him before he was weaned, so he had severe seperation anxiety. The next day we got an anonymous letter with outrageous accusations as to the care we provided for the puppy. I work at an animal hospital so I am well aware of proper care for animals. For the next 2 months we were harrased by these cowardly people via the apartment management. We got letter upon letter and was told if he did not "get rid" of the problem, we would have to vacate in 60 days. We put in our own notice that we were leaving early and just ate the early termination fee of the contract. Employees "assistance" was deplorable and they allowed these people to harrass us with no reprocautions to them. Was absolutely sick and tired of the hassles. We do have to thank them for one thing .... We decided to just buy a house and not waste money on rent! NEVER LIVE HERE!
