Don't make the same mistake I did!!!

This apartment complex is by far the most cheaply constructed I have ever lived in. As I am writing this, I can easily hear my neighbors above walking through their apartment. You can also hear them running their washer/dryer, taking a bath, and running their garbage disposal, or even having a conversation with each other.
The office staff is very pleasant, as long as you're being dragged into living here or just want to socialize. If you attpemt to get them to get them to do your jobs, however, they always seem to be too busy. As I was touring the complex, the leasing agent made promise after promise that were not lived up to.
I moved into a one bedroom apartment, which does not have nearly as much closet space as they show you in the model. They make you pay your own water/sewer (I was explicitly told otherwise), and you're not guaranteed parking on the floor you live on.
They call this complex a "gated community," but the garage doors are always broken (so they stay open 24/7), and out of the entire complex, only two (out of at least 15) key-card access only doors actually lock. All you have to do is pull on the handle and any stranger can easily walk into any building they wish.
Overall, I have to say that I made a big mistake moving to this complex. With the expensive rent and the fact that its a new property, I'm very suprised how shoddy the place is. My reccomendation is that you keep looking...this is far from being "ultimate apartment living.'
