We had several problems here and upon seeing this site, I can't believe that it is at a 50% rating as I write this. Noise was a huge problem. The people below us played their music so loud the floor shook. There is no way to enforce the rules here so when we complained to management they told us to call the police. So we did. And the next night we did too because apparently they didn't care. You can hear everyone in the hallway. Everyone and everything you do in the hall, which is ok in the daytime but at night, I don't want to hear drunks talking loud about what just happened to them.
The apartment is flimsy. The bathtub in particular is awful. It creeked randomly because it was put in wrong with no filler. The knobs fell off randomly in the bathtub, even when no one was in the bathroom. Our AC broke during the summer and the parts didn't come in for a very hot, horrible time, but they replaced it as quickly as they could. The dishwasher in our unit broke, as well as the garbage disposal but both were fixed within two business days.
The grounds are ok - nothing special. The business room/exercise room is maintained fairly well. If you are a female who likes swimming in the pool without being ogled or harassed then you better find another pool. The guys line up in the exercise room and movie room to stare out of the windows. I wish I were kidding. The major complaint I had was about the fire alarms going off at all hours. You have to evacuate when the fire alarms go off even if it is raining and it is 3am. That isn't the issue, the issue is when you have to do it three times a month.
If you are looking for a community you are out of luck. The people are typical Northern Virginia Rude, which goes for the people in the leasing office as well. They are unhelpful, rude and unresponsive. The neighbors will try to kill you by going 40 in the parking garage and riding your tail if you go under that. The parking garage though it has remote doors - are usually open. The doors were non functional for about 2 months when I lived there so they were permanently up, negating their security factor. Then the remotes wouldn't work with the doors they had installed.
Billing was also an issue. It seems they could never process payment on the day they said and would send notes telling you to expect it to be done at another time. The form of communication they prefer is sticking notes under your door, which I walked on more times than I read.
Safety is a bit of an issue here as well. Cars were routinely broken into during the year I lived here, to the point where residents were sending out their own notices about how to pressure management about putting cameras in the garage and making it safer.
Pet waste is a HUGE problem. Residents were writing nasty notes asking people to stop their pets from evacuating in the hallways and elevators. Management also started leaving notes but since they have no way of enforcing their rules, nothing was done.
Also to the responder - I am not alone in the reviews. Please read the other reviews and see that it is not just my perception. You probably work for the management company.
All in all this place was miserable.
