As a resident I know. Generally speaking, the interior of the apartments are nice as they are brand new. The appliances are average at best (nice stove but the stacked washer dryer are loud!). Heating/AC system sucks, forget about even heat/AC, it's 3 levels and the thermostat is UPstairs. The frame is cheap, floors tend to squeak.
The complex has a pool that i have yet to be scene open, the whole place just opened last year. I was promised a pool, paved roads, and a gym by our move in date. It all came into place about 2 months afterwards. Management is trying hard but STILL working out the first year kinks. I believe it just switched hands too, that should tell you something!
If you are under 25 and/or new to the NOVA area do not live here. It's far from anywhere you want to be... DC or Arlington no matter what the management tells you. It's about an hour commute to downtown DC during rush hour.
This place is QUIET on the weekends... too quiet.
Oh... and for the size of this place in general the gym is pathetic in comparison.
There are plenty of places to rent in this area that try harder and give you more for your money than THE TOWNIES AT HERNDON CENTER. Go east my friend.
