The THC is a great neighborhood... very quiet and clean. The rent is higher than most, but you get much more and it is conveniently located to shops and public transportation. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly?. Until you stand up for your rights. At that point the leasing team becomes incompetent, unreasonable, and lacking in basic communication skills. Use extreme caution when moving out!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take the time to learn your rights, because they WILL try to take advantage of you.
Like most places, THC has a lengthy list of negative attributes:
The gas bills in the winter are through the roof. The water heater is loud and runs often (hence the high gas bills). It is not uncommon to wake up to the sound of alarms coming from the fire sprinkler rooms. People speed through the parking lots. For the most part people clean up after their pets. The management is pretty good about cleaning up after those who don?t. Too often you walk into the leasing office and find a huge mess in the kitchen? they are all slobs! You pay a premium to have a ?courtyard view? but all that means is streetlights shining in your bedroom at night. Year round ? the first level of your townhome is below freezing, the top level like a sauna. Expect nasty notes to be posted on the rent box if you are 1 day late. Everyone leaves their trash cans at the end of the driveway 7 days a week!
Final judgment ? Use extreme caution! Avoid if you want less troubles when it comes time to move out.
