I would be curious to see what the management of this property would have to say about your $800 bill. Most property management companies would not charge someone that large a sum of money and attempt a collections unless they had proof that the resident deserved to be charged that amount of money, ie the carpet had just been replaced two years before you had moved in and you destroyed it or other items beyond normal wear and tear. So many people do not want to take responsibility for their own actions and damaging someone else's asset. I work in property management, not for The Townes and am just checking out other people's reviews. My suggestion to anyone moving out would be to not worry about charges as long as you didn't majorly stain or damage your carpet (normal wear and tear only accounts for dirt marks in the carpet, not blue/green/red/yellow stains or cigarette burns), you cleaned your apartment including using cleaning chemicals at least a few times during a year stay and didn't put any gigantic holes in your wall.

The only reason I also was not charged when I moved out was due to the fact I video taped the whole walk through. I was still charged a "Pet Fee" although I never owned any pet. They wanted to charge for a cut in the carpet that was there from the terrible construction that was performed by illegal workers. This response above was most likely written by Michelle the manager of the staff there.
