When looking for apartments in this area, my wife and I came across this site and were very concerned about renting here. However, we decided to go with it because we have a dog and figured there'd be fewer dog-related complaints from neighbors in this community.

Well, we've been here a few months now, and overall we're quite pleased. Yes, the rent is very high; yes, the water heater is absurdly and incredibly loud; and yes, there are heating/cooling issues related to the structure of a townhouse (not unique to this community, although I have seen better-engineered townhouses).

But we had no problems moving in furniture (even our bigscreen TV came in fine), our friends have never had problems parking, people are friendly, the management has been polite and responsive to our requests, and we haven't really had any complaints aside frm the rent. There have been no noise issues other than the water heater. I can't speak to move-out issues since we haven't dealt with that yet, but from my experience so far, I'm not worried about any mistreatment.

Conclusion: if you can afford the high rent and utilities, and want to spend the money on living in a quite nice townhouse, go for it! This is especially a great place if you have a dog--but no good if you're not a dog person! My main caution would be to people looking for a better value, because you can definitely do better on that front. (We moved from a terrible slum apartment in another city and have good jobs and no kids, so rent isn't too big a deal for us right now and we wanted to live somewhere nice for a change before buying.)
