My review is quite short. Anything negative that you see posted here is undoubtedly written by actual residents. Anything positive you see posted here is most likely written by staff member of Van Metre. I would never even consider living here again; even if they offered me free rent for a year. The neighbors are terrible. The apartments are shoddily built and not maintained. The office staff and even the upper management is worthless. Even if you have to double your commute, take it from me, you DON'T want to live here.

HOLY CRAP, well, if that's the case, then you are THE ONLY ONE I KNOW who actually likes that place. You should thank your lucky stars that you had a good experience. You are definitely NOT the norm here. That should be clear to anyone who notes how many people move out after one lease. Well, honestly, if anyone wants to check that F-U-C-K-E-D up place out, let the renter beware. Just take a look at how many honest-looking negative comments are on this board about this place.

I'm not a "staffer" but an actual resident of Woodland Park (Elm Tree Drive, Hawthorne Unit, Newer Phase, 3rd Floor). I'm moving out, but not because of anything wrong with this community (relocating with boyfriend). The model apartment was just like the one that was delivered to me and the neighborhood has been great. Quiet..I NEVER hear my neighbors, so the soundproofing of the walls is great. Parking can get full, but there is always a spot. It just means I might *gasp* have to WALK an extra door entrance over. As for maintenance, I've never had a problem. Each and every time I've called the office for a maintenance request someone is dispatched timely (I had a slight problem with an electrical outlet, a problem with the Heat when we first kicked it over and needed a battery replaced in my fire alarm). The neighbors tend to stick to themselves, but no one has been mean or rude or anything and at some of the community events we were able to make friends with other residents. I'm sad to leave this place but will be moving to a single family house - always a step up! Just wanted people to know, because everyone should know that not all great reviews are from staffers....the residents like it here too!
