management and maintenance

When we first moved in there was water pouring, and I do mean pouring, from the ceiling. After TWO visits to the rental office (we hadn't even been there long enough to have the phone turned on) they finally sent someone to fix it. The maintenance guy said that the people upstairs had run their dishwasher without closing the door all of the way. The dishwasher WON'T RUN if the door isn't closed all the way so who knows what happened. About a year later, we have another leak from upstairs. This time we were told the air conditioning unit had broken. Whatever. A few weeks ago, our microwave broke. Guy came to fix it. As soon as I tried to nuke something...died again. Maintenance comes to fix it and tells me that it broke because I didn't put the potato on a plate. Is he stupid or does he think that I am'' Turns out there is some type of short in the system. My husband demands a new microwave. Maintenance guy (speaking Spanish)trash talks husband to other maintenance guy; hubby knows Spanish and calls him on what he said. Oops!! So here comes our new microwave. Now we all get a letter stating that parking has become a problem because surrounding companies are using our spaces. What' They all have their own parking garages and if it's that much of a problem NOTIFY THE COMPANIES that their employees are parking on private property. Considering the security the buildings have I'm sure they'd be interested in knowing their employees are trying to duck parking. Anyway, since it's such a problem we now have parking stickers and visitor placards. What in inconvenience. Your friends have to double back to their cars with the placard or risk being towed. Or you can meet your guests in the parking lot to give them the placard. Parking is 24/7/365. Even though the surrounding building aren't open for business nights, weekends, or holidays. The parking "issue" is the dumbest piece of S I've heard in awhile. There is no parking problem other then the one Archstone has caused with this ridiculous "solution" to a nonexistent "problem". Instead of worrying about this crap do something about the perpetually overflowing trash compactors.
