I have lived here for about six months and cannot wait until my lease is up at the end of the year so that I can leave.
The floors and ceilings are paper thin and you can hear every step that those who live above you make.
The management of this complex is terrible and treats its tenants like garbage. They are very fond of informing you about 'maintenance' projects by simply leaving a flier by your front door. Which is fine, if it is done right. An example: about a month after I moved in I received a flyer at my door that informed me that I must remove everything from my balcony because they were going to be conducting power washing sometime during the next week. They didn't say exactly when, only that it would either be the next day or on any of the following four days. First of all, this is the wrong answer because giving such short notice for something like this is ridiculous. I received the flyer at 11:30 at night and had to spend the next hour removing everything from the balcony and find room for it inside, when all I wanted to do was get to sleep since I have to wake up at 5 in the morning for work. And what if I was out of town for a couple of days and missed the notice' Well, despite my work, the power washing didn't happen the next day. In fact, it didn't happen at all during that week. So that weekend I received another notice saying the same thing - to clear out the balcony for power washing to be done within the next week. Again, no power washing conducted that week. So this time, the following weekend, I receive another flyer saying the same thing again, only this time it went on to explain that the power washing hasn't been done yet because the temperature outside must be above 35 degrees. This immediately had me asking why the hell they would schedule something like this IN THE MIDDLE OF JANUARY if it cannot be done when it is cold' It finally did get done about a month after the first notice, and for that entire month my living room was completely unusable because it was storing everything I usually keep on the balcony..
This is not the exception, this is the norm. The owners/management of this complex are trying to renovate all of the units here, which is great. However, they are also trying to renovate the units that are currently occupied and causing a great inconvenience in the lives and routines of current residents. They either need to let people out of their leases so that they can renovate those units, or they should just wait until the unit is unoccupied and then do their renovation without having to bother us every other day with some other restriction.
I do have some other very serious problems with this complex, but I feel that I have given any potential renter here plenty of warning already. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l

I couldn't agree with you more. I went through the same thing with the powerwash fiasco but could not bring everything in and was told they wouldn't do my balcony after having lost use of more than half my apartment for more than 3 weeks. I have left the property recently, I now live where I can breathe not wondering what's next to cause me inconvenience. If I go to my new property management office I am met with "whatever you need" not "that's not our policy," which seems to be the norm at Bellemeade. For a 10-25% jump in rents you think they could double up the padding on the carpeting and insulate the walls of the units under renovation. If you're contemplating renting here, do yourself a favor - read all the comments here, and then find someplace else!
