I'm tired of reading people's complaints when they're mostly totally false. The entry "The Truth About Summit Lansdowne" is entirely made up it seems. The pet rent here is only $25 just like any other place. There is not dog feces anywhere, at least where we have seen. I actually notice that our neighbors pick up after their pets. Also there is a company that comes weekly to clean up after those that don't pick up their pet mess. The parking is totally an open parking lot meaning you do not need permits to park anywhere, and visitor parking is included in the open parking policy, unless you try to park in someone else's garage or covered parking spots. Then the people that you live with will call the towing company because you're in their parking that they are paying to use. Most of all also, the community is very very clean. I'm not just saying that either just because my wife and I really like it here, but the community is almost brand new (3 years old). Also everything "and I mean everything" (referring to the previous comment) is not broken. At any time you can walk into any of the three fitness centers and the clubhouse and someone will be using most of what the community has to offer, which is a lot (three swimming pools, a giant clubhouse, and fitness and business centers). I don't know what the previous person's complaints were founded on but every single thing that was said negatively about this community were all lies. Take everything you read on this site with a grain of salt because some people are impossible to please. Go and visit Summit (now Camden) Lansdowne for yourself and it will be obvious to you that this is a very clean, and functional place. My wife and I moved from North Carolina and toured five different properties and Lansdowne was the one that stood out from the rest by far.

Yeah what you say is somewhat true. Yeah, it's a new apartment, the fitness centers are nice, the pools are nice, and it's quiet. This is the glorious viewpoint. I see that you have only been here for awhile, but you don't know all of the details. First of all, the apartment complex is not consistent with picking up the dog poop that's outside. One day I was walking around the complex and seen poop everywhere. The people here do not take the time to clean after their dogs. The apartment complex needs to be a little more tougher on its residence. Second, depending on which business office you go to, the computers and the printers never work. Plus, the maintaince staff half do their job. If the complex will keep up with their problems, then their residents won't leave. Yeah, I'll say the same that take this comment with a grain of salt too. Good luck, and I hope that you enjoy staying here at this apartment complex,and you don't have any problems.

I'm hoping that the stay here will go well too. About the dog mess though, it's just that I haven't seen too much of it, if any, really laying around. Maybe I just live around responsible neighbors. But I have seen people picking up after their pets. So people complaining about it should say something to the people that are out with their pets and see them not helping keep our community clean. That goes with everything else as well like littering or noise for example. I'm just trying to let people know that not everyone thinks this place is as bad as a lot of people are trying to make it out to be on this site. If everyone that we live around would take the initiative to keep our community clean, things would be a lot better for everyone. But that's too much to ask I think. People make things out to be what they want it to be. My wife and I choose to make the best of it. Take care and thanks for the good wishes, and good luck also.

My husband and I have lived here for a year now. Sadly, I can only agree on one of your points in that yes, it is a nice community. However, parking is NOT open. You must have a parking tag to park "inside the gates". If they want to restrict it so much why don't they actually fix the gates to be operational. Visitors MUST have a tag if they are parking overnight otherwise they have to park OUTSIDE of the gates. People with dogs are NOT quick to pick up their pet's droppings and I have NEVER seen an "outside" company come around and do the clean up. Yes, the fitness centers and pools are nice (though cold as all get out even in the middle of July when it's near 100 outside). Overall. the place is decent. My opinion is that the staff could be a lot better, but you get what you have. The price of the apartments, are a joke though.

I have lived in 8 apartment complexes in the last 13 years and if I were to rank them, Summit Camden (or whatever they`re calling themselves this week) would be so far below the seventh ranked complex as to be in another league. Rather than list what sucks about Summit, I`ll save time an list what doesn`t suck.
