The title says it all. Camden Lansdowne is a nice looking community but the staff's idea of customer service is to make your life as hard as they can. Even a simple question about policy makes them instantly defensive. Someone in Camden's corporate office better do something soon. As soon as my lease is up I am out of here.....although based on what my old neighbors tell me I am sure they will find a way to charge me more at move out if I don't use their new $175 optional apartment cleaning service. What a joke.

I agree, I wouldn't even want my ex-girlfriend to live there, it's insulting! The $175 "courtesy" cleaning is such a scam. It does not include ANY high-traffic areas or spot cleaning. What apartment doesn't incur a few spots or a high-traffic area over 14 months? In addition, it does NOT cover cleaning the oven, refrigerator or other time-consuming areas in the apartment. I spent $30 and rented a Rug Doctor and some spot remover at the local grocery store, and it removed all my spots and high traffic areas. TO PROSPECTIVE RESIDENTS: I suggest you look elsewhere away from a "CAMDEN" property, they are very unreasonable and charge well-above the market price. If you do move in, go through *everything* and notate it's condition. Before moving in, take digital pictures of the condition of every room, every crevice and every appliance. Be sure to cite any issues in writing, even in completely minor or cosmetic. --Former Camden Resident

Yeah what about 30 dollars to clean a toilet?? that was a big ole joke. All they do when you move out is just cut the old spots out of the carpet and insert new ones and try to charge you for the whole thing. I've seen what they do. It's doesn't matter what you write down on the paper, they will find something wrong w/ the apartment.
