PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT RENT HERE!! I have lived at Camden Lansdowne for 15 months. I moved here last year becuase it was very affordable for a 2 bedroom/2 bath place. Things were fine here for the first 6 months or so. There is a CONSTANT turnover in tenants. Since I have lived here I have watched 6 apartments in my building be moved into and out of. The walls are PAPER-THIN!! If the person in their kitchn closes a drawer, you can hear it loud and clear.
My neighbors were paying $350 more than me in rent for the exact same apartment. When their lease was up Camden wanted to jack it up another $100. They were unwilling to help them out and moved them to another building. Then turned around and rented their apartment for $400 less than they were paying. Camden's response..."Oh well. Sorry, nothing we can do."
My lease is up at the end of this month. I was considering staying here because they were not going to raise my rent. However, my mind was changed when when car was broken into (window smashed and all) right outside my apartment building.
2 weeks ago there was a drug dealer running around with a loaded gun.
The staff is ok. Not great and only nice if you don't have a problem.
Cars are towed constantly.
The people that have begun to move in here are not ideal neighbors. I see this place getting very ghetto soon. P0MtU6TIdDkM23RTonAS

As a woman of color who is contemplating moving to Camden Lansdowne, I find your closing line "I see this place is getting very ghetto soon" troubling. You must be white and afraid of ------ living in your building... what do you constitute as "ideal neighbors?"

Robbery and drug dealers seems to be her idea of not ideal neighbors and ghetto, can you blame her? You are the only one that connected people "of color" to those descriptions....and who says she isn't black herself?! robbery and cars getting broken into can happen anywhere unless you have a guard w/ a gun at the gate..but you'll have to pay for that..and you'll probably complain about it too
