I have responded to a few reviews that were posted and I have read through most of them tonight. I only wish I had seen this site prior to moving to Camden Lansdowne. I would have never lived there for 2 very long years. I would have to agree with all of the complaints. But one I only found one regarding my biggest annoyance. DOG NOISE. I love dogs but not living above my head. 4 months, countless complaints to the office, 2 calls to the police and many hours of throwing a shoe at the celing later they finally moved out. 2 months later I moved out. And then the bill for unpaid water/sewer/trash'''''' No mention of what month these bills were from. I do plan on contacting an attorney in regard to the final fees and the breach of lease on the part of the apartment community about the loud noises from the dog above me. if you still live there read the lease "the dog will be removed" I can only hope that more people find this site and if they foolishly decided to rent from this horrible palce they read the fine print. Ask what the "redecorating fee" is. I still don't know. You are expected to have the cheap carpet steamed cleaned at move out. I was told by one of the office staff in a very hushed tone that she didn't think that was right for a tenent to do.
More people should stand up to this community and file complaints with the BBB, file a lawsuit.
With the rent going up and all the problems I have had I did move out to a wonderful townhouse a mile down the road. 2 beds,an office, 2 and a half baths. A big deck off the kitchen a patio off my office and a fenced in back yard. Better yet NO LOUD NOISES ABOVE MY HEAD. And it's only costing me 35.00 extra a month!!!! There is a lot more out there then Camden apartments.....just look. Oh and my landlord is wonderful!!!!!!

Ummm - welcome to apartment living concerning the noise. Apartment living takes a special person - you can not choose who lives above or below you if you are that sensitive you did the right thing by moving into a townhouse. Good for you.

Have you decided if you were going to sue or not yet? Am I moving in to Camden on october 31st. DEspite the reviews I have read, the area is perfect for my commute to work.. and it is one of the only places I can really afford that isn't ghetto.. Could you give me an estimate as to how much your utility bills cost?? Any other information about the apartment I should know before moving in? I expect lots of noise.. But I will be working a lot and going to school, so I wont be there much.
