Been here 3 years. When I moved in it was ok. This place is 37 years old. Here's what happened in the past 3 years.
1. 3 management company changes.
2. 7 managers this year (no exaggeration).
3. Maint. staff is nice, but they are overloaded. This place is old, so needs lots of work. They have a maint. budget for each month, which is way too low.
4. 3 months to get A/C fixed in summer. When I complained, they said other people had no A/C for longer periods than I did, so what was I complaining about. They posted a notice saying 'if you have a note from your doctor that requires indoor temps to be less than 90 degress, then we will consider fixing A/C.' This is for real, no kidding.
5. Refrigerator went dead, 2 weeks with no ice box.
6. No restrictions on occupancy. Every mailbox has 5 or 6 names on it. This causes more problems:
a. Parking hassles
b. No hot water
c. Dumpsters look like a waste disposal site.
7. Police are here when I come home several times a week. Not sure how many more times they are here.
8. Maint. people leave your apt. full of trash when they are done. I came home one night and I could not breath the air. They came in on their own to 'fix things.' (I had no maint. requests in). My bathroom trash can was brim full of rags that smelled of something toxic. They melted the inside of my plastic trash can.
9. They had to knock a hole in a wall when fixing a plumbing problem. They left the hole in the wall. They finally fixed it when I asked them.
10. I currently have various plumbing problems, but have not reported them, as I don't want to clean up all the trash they leave behind.
11. My lease is up soon. Amen.
12. There was always too much dust and many black 'particles' on every surface. I bought my own air filter to place on the A/C intake in the apt. The 90 day filters were dark brown in 30 days. I bought several large HEPA air filters to clean the air. They made no difference. The air ducts here are 37 years old, so who knows what's inside them.

Anyway, I could go on and and on. If you have 6 people that want to share an apt., and you are all pigs or slobs, this is the right place for you.
