I lived here for over a year. I had heating problems from day one. Over a year later I FINALLY got a response from management, only for them to KICK ME OUT because I complained about not having heat for months in the dead of winter. I ended up having to contact not only the President of the company, Bruce Warren, who has the worst customer service skills I have EVER experienced from any company, but also Virginia Housing Department Authority. The new management has gone to HELL! They do not take care of the parking lots, they do not respond to calls or concerns. The new manager Michelle didn't even show up for my final walk through upon move out, nor call to let me know she would be unable to make the appointment, even though she lives on the property and was well aware I no longer lived in the area and commuted in for the appointment.
We had a recent ice storm, 2 weeks ago, and the parking lot is still undrivable. Residents actually began finding other places to stay because it was, and still is in most portions, unsafe and imposible to drive or walk in. Many residents have fallen and hurt themselves severly due to the managements inability to keep their lots clear despite uncountable numbers of complaint calls regarding it.
Everything about this management company is horrible. Stay FAR AWAY unless you would like to live in a community that will not renew your lease if you actually expect them to keep you in a safe, healthy, comfortable living environment.
The company also has a lengthly record of lawsuits from residents including a Fair Housing complain currently, and my suit in works for Breech of Lease.
I urge you to look into the amount of management changes they have had over the past few years, the comments in apartment ratings showing the decline in management with every change, the increased amount in filed lawsuits, and the negative comments regarding management on all other Clark communities as well.
