2 years ago, I was transferd from the north to live in northern VA for my job. I had very little clue to the high price of rent in this area.
Needless to say that I had done my shopping for apartments online and found the Manor apartments, which didnt seem too bad at first but I knew I wasnt moving to a five star resort.
well, I must say it was ok for about the first week, then the honeymoon was over.
About the first week I was there, when I was ready to get into my car ( keep in mind that I drive to work at 3am, also this is the first week of my new job) I had found it missing. With much explaining to do with my new job, I had to find an explanation from the Leesburg police to report it stolen, only to find out that it had been towed.
I contacted Stacy from the leasing office outside my building into which she infomed me that my car had been towed because in the lease that I had signed, it stated that I had to get my VA tags to park there. she had also informed me ( in that same conversation outside my building ) that ALL cars had to be up to date on inspections and registration or they WILL be towed. FINE..I can accpept that. but no later did she wave at a good freind of hers that parked in the same lot that I had parked in..not only have expired tags..BUT A GUEST PASS and they parked there car there for a month straight never to be towed. There is a van parked that also had 2 year expired tags..never once leaving that spot and never once towed. once I get my site going..I will be more than happy to show you pictures of some of the horrors that I have encountered at this place.
2 washers (THAT DONT EVEN WORK) for a whole building. I was forced to do my laundry early in the morning so noone would steal my clothes..happened twice
one certain occasion, I heard a knocking on my door which was Leesburg police, I heard some wonderful news of some nut climbing from the roof to the balcony of the upper apartments and making his way in.
The smell was horrible. just about every weeknend I would hear someone either fighting right outside my door or in the parking lot. its a crazy place trust me..I was breathing some very fresh air in my new apartment after I left. for the same price I paid there, I have a wonderful apartment very much closer to work, safer enviroment not to mention a washer/dryer in my unit that I dont have to worry about people peeing in. its a real disgrace and I wouldnt recomend this to my worse enemy.
