Come on, people! Not all THAT bad! From: roanokerbychoice Date posted: 4/15/2007 Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2006   We lived there her for 5 years.Yes,the tenants are mostly immigrants but we never felt that we weren't completely safe even when coming and going very late at night. These are older buildings that have been well maintained and are constantly being upgraded. New windows and new roofs were installed in every building while we were there.True,the laundry wasn't as well maintained as it should have been and the hallways sometimes got pretty bad especially over weekends when the cleaning crew didn't come in. Parking is at a premium. This was our biggest complaint about living here. Many more people actually live here than are officially on the leases but this is a problem everywhere in the area and I don't know how the staff can lawfully control it. We never had any prblems at all dealing with the staff.You get what you pay for in this very over-priced rental market area and it was not nearly as bad as some of the other reviews make it out to be.There is gang activity in the area but we never observed anything at all scary in the complex itself.Do I detect an undercurrent of bigotry in some of the other reviews'
