Kenton Crossing Reality Check- Not Good

The reality is that Kenton Crossing was ('04-'05) one of the worst places that I have ever lived. We (my wife and I) moved in because we needed affordable living after having moved from the New Orleans area. We had both lived in multiple apartments across the country and felt confident that Kenton Crossing would provide a good environment for us. We were sadly mistaken. We discovered that the first problem was that we looked at the complex in the winter and during the early evening. Within the first days of living there, we had to determine how to block the lights of the police cars, the tow trucks (we figured it was the repo man), and the ambulances that made regular nightly appearances. Then, as the warmed up, the true nature of the complex's tenants began to show. We saw the parade of young thugs that were freely getting high wherever and whenever they wanted. We watched a group of kids beat another kid up, first using their fists and then began to beat him with his own Razor scooter. We had the ice cream truck that would show up at 6 in the evening and his biggest customers were full grown men who were buying "ice cream" at 11 PM. Our neighbor below us moved out and we eventually had to call the office because we were concerned about the strength of the the stink coming from below us. The neighbor above us had an apartment full of thugs move in who stomped around and played video games so loud I could hear the Madden theme song fro upstairs in my bedroom. My request for quiet so that I could study was met with louder music and threatening glances. The bigger issues (if these weren't enough!) were that the violence, filth, and sheer ghettoness of the complex affected us personally. My car was hit in the parking lot and severely damaged. The last straw was when the thugs on the corner began to spit on my wife's car as she came into the complex.
Now, we did not have all the problems that others had with checking out, or the actual apartment; however, the complex is not someplace any person that has a choice would want to live. There are residents that are nice and neighborly, however, there are many that are not and want the complex to be "the 'hood."

I thank you for letting your living nightmare at this complex be told, I talked with the "so called" office manager, she's just as ghetto, she was trying her best to argue with me when I called for two days straight to talk with her about the noise level above me and my daughter, keep in mind I was suppose to be on the third floor, but due to them not even having the unit ready for move in, on the day I was due to move in, I got stuck on the first floor, I know this is not a good place to be, and sure enough the noise started, I even said "why is it a battle just for me to inform you that as a resident I have a issue and you as the office manager want to argue with me or find fault just so I can relay my issues with you?????????? I will no longer say a word to her, I've contacted the corporate office, and I'm going from there to see if I can get an intelligent person to help me.
