Would not reccomend this place

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
The landscaping is ok, but there is alot of trash thrown about by the residents. If you have a garden apt and try to make what little yard you have look nice, there is sure to bure one of the grounds people piling mounds of mulch on your flowers.
The apartments are highly over priced for the quality. The inside corridors are dirty and you can often find beer bottles and empty cases under the stairs for days. The woods are located pretty much across the street from the Sewage Tratment plant, the smell is usually very bad.
Maintenance- There have been several time we have not been left a notice when someone was in the apartment, only to find out when we came home in the evening and all the lights were on. It is not that difficult to get the "Little Things" fixed, but if something major should need repair, expect it to take months and that's if they haven't tried to make you pay for it yourself. The maintenance staff is horrible making up one excuse after another as to why your repairs have not been completed. "Especially the new staff". When things get fixed, you can usually count on them having to come back 2 and 3 times because it was done properly the first time.
Management - The management is horrible here, they are not very responsive nor are they trustworthy. There are a couple however who are very kind and willing to get you information you need, but that diminishes once you get to the top of management. The one notable thing is that when we moved in we had to clean the place, yes they had someone come in and "clean the surface", but I wasn't too fond of the greasy cabinets in the kitkhen, and the muck and pot lids sticking out from under the stove and fridge.
Security- The lack of security in this area is tremendous! Although the management would tell you it is a crime free neighborhood. On any given weekend you can find one car that has been damaged or broken into. Tires slashed, attempted break-ins, theft, these are all very real things you will deal with in this area and especially in this apartment complex. Management is also not willing to put up extra lighting in the darker areas for residence security during evening hours. They think it will take away from the over all look of the apt building. Quite often you will see many shady charachters in the area gather in places that are known for not so good things right outside of the main entrance to the apt.
Neighbors - In general I can't complain about most of the neighbors in our building. Although there are a few around us that are noisy little trouble makers, in example riding a moped or some sort of bike at high speeds back and forth in the parking lot at midnight. Some neighbors are not very curteous to your surroundings and haven't figured out where the trash cans are located.
Amenities - yes they have tennis courts and pools, however these things are used mostly for kids play area's than I see adults using them (although this is against the "rules", and so is loitering in the hall and communing on the grass)
Generally speaking I would not reccomend this apt. The only good thing is that it is in a conveinent location for commuting, but the outside area and the apartment areas are not very pleasing.
