Honest opinion

I lived in the Woods of Fairfax for almost 4 years and for the area/price it's very nice. Fortunate for me I have wonderful neighbors but when I first moved in I had my doubts. The complex is changing for the worse - I found out that they are accepting Gov't vouchers. Depending on which bldg. you live in - my neighbors are great, definately no bugs in my apt. noise level is very minimal, parking not a problem, when I do need maintenance they come usually the same day. Recently we just got a new apt. manager so things may get even better. Some areas are obviously reserved for Govt' voucher participants you can tell. People will hang their laundry on the balcony, dancing on the balcony, loud music, rude kids. I am very cautious about who my child associates with. For the price location it's not bad but if you could afford a couple of hundred dollars more then you may want to consider elsewhere. I have a wsh/dry hook up, fireplace, so I pay a extra fee for those things. If I could find another place in a convenient locatin for the price I would definatley move. I would recommend it to a friend but with a honest opinion ;-)
