I was fortunate enough to get a good location in the area that is quiet. There are alot of kids around, but if you look here you'll see a playground so you know what to expect (if you don't have kids). I've been here for about a month and so far so good. I heard about GANG activity or rather them just being in the area, but I don't see a lot to be honest. There are police that patrol the neighborhood which makes me feel a lot better. I'll still carry protection with me just in case police don't roll around on time. It is summer time and if there was going to be a bunch of trouble, you'd see it by now. Before moving in and signing the lease, I took a drive around the entire complex at NIGHT to make sure I wasn't getting myeself into a mess. I asked good questions before moving in so there aren't any regrets. I signed up with Directv but unfortunately they couldn't install the equipment though there were others. So I went Cox (just an FYI).
The staff could be a little more efficient with answering the phone, it's annoying to have to call more than once and keep getting the answering service that you can't leave messages on. The best way is to stop by the office. They are VERY helpful and there are no set backs even when you sign the lease. The rental office no longer rents out the clubhouse because apparently someone has spoiled it for the rest of us so that sucks, but I can understand. WOF has a reputation to protect and lessen the liabilities so thanks to the nuisance who messed that up. >:/
Overall, I'm not hard to please but it has to be right and COMFORTABLE. Everyone has the right to be comfortable and SAFE. If people are going to bash an apartment complex, know where you're moving to BEFORE you sign the lease. It is an apartment, not a house and there isn't always going to be SILENT. As long as it's not obnoxious behavior and ROACHES, then I'm fine.
I haven't seen a trace or even thought that there are roaches. I think in the other reviews there were some, but that really depends on the people around you. There are tips to keeping the place clean, the hallways and landscape are well kept. I appreciate the WOF for their efforts in making this a new home for me.
In Sum-
-Ask questions
-Get renters insurance
-USE YOUR BRAIN
-Anywhere you go you're moving in at your discretion
-Check out the area
Things change lets hope I'm not back on here pissed off (I'm honest =-))
