Our first Langley Property choices fell through, so we chose Windsor Terrace based on its price, availability, and the floor plan. We've encountered quite a few problems living here.

Noise is a major issue. Seeing as these were built in the 70's, the floors are extremely creaky. You learn to live with it during the daytime, but if the people above you don't seem to have "legitimate" jobs, them walking around at all hours will keep you up. People here do not have consideration for their neighbors. We have dealt with music with heavy bass as well as guitars hooked up to amps past midnight from below, above, and beside us. Hearing people yelling to converse is the norm. Kids of all ages wander throughout the entire property without a parent in sight.

While the square footage and floorplan may be enticing, the buildings are very poorly constructed. The sinks and countertops are painted and it starts to crack and peel after a couple months of use. This reveals an ugly rotting blackness underneath. Half of the light switches in the apartment don't connect to anything. The carpet is completely hideous and the window sills mold very easily.

I'll only say one word about the safety here...SHADY. There are some pretty shady people here that are seemingly doing some pretty shady things. We didn't feel safe.

As far as Langley Properties goes, they have been remotely helpful in fixing things but not in a timely manner. They claim that if they don't respond to your maintenance request within 1 business day, they will give you a 25 dollar check as their "apology". 2 violations of that policy later, we have yet to see a dime. We spoke to our property manager and she gave us every reason as to why we weren't entitled to it.

To sum it up, if you care about decent living conditions, sanity, safety, or sleep....these probably aren't for you. We bought out our lease because we couldn't take it anymore. Here's an update: the law requires the company to return the security deposit within 45 days. On the 44th day we called, and had to go pick it up because they still hadn't sent it.
