Turning into the ghetto!!

I moved here in early 2005 when the upkeep was actually good and the appearance of the place was well maintained. The management has never been very friendly or helpful and has changed hands about 4 times now. They will cut you no slack when it comes to paying rent whether you have a legitimate family emergency or not nor do they take into consideration how long you have been a good standing member of the community. No monthly drawings for rewards or discounts off of your rent or at renewal time like a lot of other APTs. Maintenance is a joke and they look like they may have served time at some point. Takes several calls to finally get one to come fix problems and then they don't get fixed properly. After three tries with my dryer I just gave up and dealt with the load noise it makes. My lease is up in a couple of months and I will be glad to rid of this place. Entry ways have never been painted and are stained and have crayon marks all over them. Grounds look terrible. Broken down cars in the parking lots, overflowing trash bins with broken down wooden doors that surround them. Their car wash is a joke because the vacuum never works, the hose always has holes in it and has very little water pressure, that is if you can even get into the small area to wash your car. There is no enforcement on who can use it so you have a lot of people who don't even live there using it and littering the area. Did I mention all the Feral cats running around' For the amount of money you are charged to live here it is not worth it. I could go on but enough said. Avoid this place.

On the contrary, Since Bozzutto took over again, new mamagement has met with all our requests and with lightening speed may I add. With in a week we got a brand new washer and dryer, appointment to have our carpets proffesionally cleaned and our apartment repainted. As far as late rent consideration, when you sign a contract to pay at an expected point and time that's it. I'm sure a huge majority of people including myself have been late with their rent. That's the way it is. Deal with it. Give the new management a chance. We've been here since 2003 and nothing has been as tragic as you make it out to be with this property.

You are wrong to assume management will cut you slack for paying rent late- they shouldn't. But I agree that Bozzuto is awful- the head manager refuses to take phone calls (the staff says he's not there even though his car is in front of the office). The rest if the staff is equally bad- snotty, rude, etc. Bozzuto did nothing to fix the broken locks other than to give excuses for months. The place has definately gone ghetto since Bozzuto took over.

jmp916, you must be one of the lucky few. Look at the majority of the responses on here and you will see a definite trend. You would have to be blind not to see what is happening to this place. Get outside once in a while and you can see the maintenance guy ride around on his golfcart all day doing nothing. On the rent I was talking one day past the 5th and not weeks. Management can cut you slack if you have never been late before. We all understand contracts and deadlines but sometimes things happen where a little compassion and understanding come into play. Maybe Bozzutto will turn this place around but so far I have yet to be impressed.
