A serious mistake...Don't rush into this and don't let the incentives fool you.

We have had nothing but problems since we moved in. The noise is completely unacceptable. Be advised: If you move here and have any sensitivity to noise, you will be completely unhappy. I mean, some people might be OK with hearing thier neighbors urinate in the toilet, sneezing, talking on the phone, kids crying, loud televisions, phones ringing, children running up and down the enclosed hallways, the train that scares the @%#$ out of you in the middle of the night and lets not forget the poor subflooring that echoes every footstep above you into a military march. Forget sleeping...if you have a neighbor that works weird hours or has children that get up early...I hope you like their schedule, because you will be living it too.
I really am not kidding, you can hear EVERYTHING around you! My husband and I are not light sleepers; we find ourselves sitting straight up in the bed at 3:00 a.m. when our neighbor comes home from the bar.
Ask for a copy of the lease prior to signing it. It will be good late night reading material...all 38 pages of it. Make sure you read the part very carefully about the rental incentive. If you have to break your lease prior to the end date, you have to repay all of the incentive that you received to sign up PLUS one months rent. Ouch! Not to mention, YOU will be strictly held to the lease...but the rest is at "thier discretion." You know...that little phrase that says, "at any time, management reserves the right to..." Can you count how many times thats listed'
Does it say in there somewhere that they will charge you for the water and trash used by the WHOLE community' I didn't see that either, but...Guess what' If you are home 1 day per month and shower only 1 time...you will still pay over $30 per month for water. And, don't forget the trash removal. You will be charged according to how much waste is removed from the community. Even though it's only been around $10 per month, it would be nice to know up front. What does that annual $250 ammenity fee pay for again!' Oh, right...the tiny, shallow swimming pool and the workout closet with the 3 treadmills.
I hope you don't have to find the rest out on your own. Don't live in a Bozzuto Community! Really, they don't care about their tenants, they just want to collect your check. Look somewhere else...it will be worth the extra effort. Or - take over my lease so my husband and I can get a little sleep.
