My husband and I moved in Chatsworth Park in February 2008. Really liked the place. Had a lot of things go wrong, especially with the ac. It kept freezing. We moved out in February 2009 because we were moving to North Carolina. Unfortunately after moving out and cleaning we couldn't be there for the move out inspection because we had to be back down to North Carolina. BIG MISTAKE. Now they are trying to charge us $500.00 for a carpet that was messed up in the first place. When we moved in there was a big red stain in the 2nd bedroom closet, little yellow stains in the 2nd bedroom, and lots of stains in the dining room. When we moved out, they put there was a purple stain in the dining room, yellow stains in the master bedroom, and urine stains in the foyer. Even though I do have cats, they do not urinate on the floor and never have. I am really really upset. I feel they took advantage of the fact that we were not there to do the walk through, so now they are making us pay for carpet that was already messed up in the first place. I tried talking to them and they have not done anything to satisfy us. Their maintenance is always terrible. One night, we woke up to one of the smoke detectors beeping. We got up, nothing was wrong, but the smoke detector wouldn't stop beeping. Then, the other would start. We had two smoke detectors beeping at us at 3:00 in the morning. We called maintenace. They told us to unplug them and plug them back in to see if they would stop. They wouldn't stop so eventually he came over to change the battery. He changed the batteries and waited a minute and left. After he left, they started back up again. Called maintenance back. He told us to unplug them and stick them outside on the deck until he had a chance to replace them. He finally came back and replaced the smoke detectors the next day at 5:00 pm. Moral of this story, DON'T MOVE TO CHATSWORTH PARK.
