I moved in to Ashton Commons back in 1998. At that time, while the grounds were not as green, the community itself was very pleasant. During my tenure there, I observed a decrease in the level of management as well as tenants. They went from renting to qualified applicants to simply trying to "Fill the House". I had to complain to management several times about the loitering issues. I was told that they would be hiring a security guard for the grounds - It never happend.
While my apartment was very nice to look at, however, the quality of the building and it's fixtures was cheap. I could never clean my walls because of the cheap paint. If you did, it would remove the paint. My Air condition broke every year and leaked in my living room causing mold. Mangement never seem to follow up on requests for repairs. When I decided to leave, they charged me for things that I had requested them to fix when I lived there. (Vindictive) Four years ago, I highly recommended Ashton Commons. Today, stay away.
