Not what it appears to be

I have been disappointed with Masons Keepe. My husband and I did not have a good move in. I ended up doing my walk through the day before I moved in. Found some things that really needed to be taken care of. Like a wet spot on the floor in the middle of the doorway to my bedroom. The next day we show up with our movers and find our kitchen wall guted out due to a leak in the pipes that no one new about. The leaked created mold under the carpets in the living room, MBR, and kitchen. It was very stressfull. It took a week to get things half way normal. But you can surely see where they have tried to patch up the mess. We were missing our pation glass door, which management didn't realize until I mentioned it. They put ply wood up until the door came in. I went to hang a jacket up in my spare room closet and the whole shelf fell on the floor. Funny at first, but not after I had to clean up the mess. These are new apartments, so it is understandable that there might be kinks to work out. We have upset feelings due to alot of issue apon moving in. I think that if you are now moving into this community, the major problems have been resolved. So you won't find as many upsets as those of us who have lived here since the beginning. If you enjoy first floor living, beware! Living on the first floor could often sound as though your neighbor upstairs is about to fall through the ceiling. They say it is well insulated, but it's not. It would be nice if they offered 3rd floor 9' ceilings. Sounds travel quite well through the walls. Maybe some neighbors don't realize how loud they are! So I can't really blame that issue entirely on the community. The gate has been an issue lately. Management had talked about putting a light pole at the entrance to make it more safe. And also to make the sensor stronger so you don't have to 1. get out of your car to scan your card or 2. lean halfway out of your window. I haven't seen any progress on that. However, the apartments are close to shops. But not really in the best of neighborhodds. The trains are very noisy. Please do not believe anyone that says they aren't. Maybe you'll be able to tune them out. But it is hard at times. We enjoy being in a new apartment. I love the open kitchen and newer appliances. There are lots of windows which allow lots of light. The Master BR is very small, we had to really think how to arrange our bed, couldn't get the door to shut! I would recommend this communtiy now. However as with any other place, this community has it's quirks too.
