I'm not sure what that poster thinks now about the trains being quiet, but they DO NOT stop blowing their horns 'around 10 PM' unless that means sometimes they stop after 11PM and most of the time they don't.

Trains blow their horns after midnight routinely even though there is a noise ordinance that the trains must follow for overnight hours.

Don't complain to your County Supervisor either because they are worthless, too.

Must have got this land cheap to put the apts.

where they are, but they sure don't pass the savings on to you.

Expensive rent and an amenities fee.

What for I have no idea as I don't see that many amenities here.

This place is smack between two close railroad crossings so you hear the trains as they pass the first one, then they do it for the second one.

Or, if you're lucky, you get to hear them blow the horns continuously from one crossing to the next.

I think it's indicative of most of Manassas though as you can't escape the trains, but it would be nice to not feel that you are literally on the tracks.

It's a shame because the apts.

themselves are pretty nice, which is why we moved here.

Had no idea the trains would be so bad, though.

That's enough to make me move.

Oh yeah, to add to those that are thinking about moving here, they are going to double-track it within the next year or two so the VRE can go to Gainesville, so get ready to have trains passing in two directions at once and the VRE roaring through as well.

No station here, though, just a pass-through for them.

Also, this place caters to corporate clients, so if you have a beef against your neighbor, most likely won't get resolved until they move out unless they are a regular paying customer who will be here for at least a year.
