I lived here for two and half years and thought I loved it... and thought it counted for something...
The apartment was an awesome design BUT the architecture was absolutely shoddy and just plain nasty.
Walls cracked, window screens had holes in them, asked repeatedly for them to replace the lights in the bathroom (I bought the bulbs- they said I had to buy them and they would put them in) but never did after asking at least four times, then at the end when I had to leave they charged me for REPLACING THE LIGHTS AND THE COST OF THE LIGHTS!!!!!!
The carpet had to be replaced as it was very old, but they insisted that it had to be replaced because of my cat... the carpet was at least two years old...
I also had a crazy Russian woman beneath me who made all sorts of 'complaints' about me and without even checking with me, they send me a very snotty letter. I mean this woman was wack! Said I stalked her, said the minute I knew she was home I would start making all kinds of noises... said that it would be quiet all day when she went to sit at the computer and moved the mouse I hear it and started making noise... she also claimed I had a hole in the floor that I watched her through... in the end they asked them to move but in the beginning I wasn't even given the benefit of the doubt, they never came to me about it, and it took me threatening legal action (harassment) for them to pull all three of us in and talking it out- then they saw how crazy she was. And she WASN'T EVEN ON THE LEASE!
Anyway, after going through all this and having lived there after about two and a half years I got notice that I had to deploy to Iraq- the week of Christmas... that is when the nightmare began... I had five days notice... five days in which I had to get my business wrapped up, let the apartment go, find storage, find a home for my cat, and get settled before leaving the day after Christmas. I got orders on the 22nd, went to the Leasing Office to drop it off but they said I had to give them thirty days and that I had to still pay a penalty... when I said no I shoudn't have to because the Soldier's and Sailor's Civil Relief Act they said they gloaded that they had found some 'loop holes' and that they could actually do it. I drove an hour to my unit that day to get help from JAG who sent me back with a note saying don't do it, against law... yadayadayada... by the time I got back they had closed the office and had a note saying they were closed through the New Year (from the 23rd of Dec through the 4th of January) - Nice vacation huh! Anyway, but that time I had already left and was in Kuwait when my Power of Attorney said she got a letter from them listing all this crap about how they had to charge me a crap load of fees for drummed up crap and the penalty, so, my first two months pay check in a combat zone went to these arseholes to cover the penalties and what not.
HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT IN THE END

Boo Hoo Hoo! Do you want some cheese with that whine? If General Patton was alive, he would slap your annoying face. For your information, carpet should last 10 to 15 years...two year old carpet is not old. Perhaps your disgusting cat caused the problem.
