Nothing much to complain about

I've been in a one-bedroom first-floor apartment in this complex for about five years. Here is my experience.
Outdoors
The landscaping is always well maintained. The main road through the complex is gorgeous in the spring, lined with pear trees in full bloom. The grass is kept green, neat and trimmed, and there is a cute paved path separating the apartment complex from the condos behind. The only thing that can get annoying is when the staff mows/blows grass clippings early in the morning (they always sweep through the patio). The community is pet-friendly. Their are little baggie stations set up throughout so you never have an excuse not to pick up after your pets! (Although they let the bags run out a little too frequently.)
Maintenance
I have not had any issues with getting repairs done, and the maintenance staff is very friendly. As a female I have never felt uncomfortable with them coming into the apartment. They come into the apartment for regular safety checks at least once or twice a year, but always give plenty of notice. The maintenance guys up my staff rating.
The mailboxes are conveniently located in the hallways outside the apartments. Packages go to the office if you are not home, and it can be a hassle getting them if you work 9-5.
Interior
My unit was very clean with new carpeting, but somewhat dated kitchen and bath. The separate dining room is nice for some people, but I would have preferred a larger combined living space. The Christmas tree takes up that whole room every year. The bedroom is large, and the walk-in closet is a nice size with built-in shelves. The utility room is a little cramped, but it's so nice to have a full-size washer and dryer. My unit is very sunny. Noise is generally not an issue. The bedroom is in the back, so when people are coming home you don't hear them in the hallway. Sometimes you can hear a sound from an adjacent apartment, but not often and not to distraction. Have had a heavy stomper above, but he's gone, yeah!
Amenities
Pool, indoor hot tub, sauna, changing rooms, and from what I understand they have a furnished unit that you can rent if you have out-of-town visitors and not enough space. Pet-friendly, although it's annoying to pay a nonrefundable deposit and then have pet rent on top of that.
Management
They don't bug you. They send out notices when they need to, but don't harass you about every little thing, and the complex still looks nice. I love that about it. I wouldn't say the staff is overly social or friendly, but they do have events periodically-dinners and doughnut days. They send out a nice monthly newsletter too.
Parking
In my building I have never, ever had an issue. The complex does not tow, so you can have vistors over without scrambling for a pass. The lot is close to the building, yet I have never felt noise or safety was an issue. They have always kept the lot well-lit. The parking alone makes it worth living here!
Overall, I recommend RC. It has been a nice experience. It is comfortable and close to lots of shopping, the Bull Run library, and Manassas Mall. The traffic on Sudley Manor is getting heavier (although you can't hear it), and it can be a pain making a left out of the complex (towards Manassas), but it's not unbearable. As it stands, I see no reason to leave this complex for another apartment. The rates are the same or slightly lower than comparable complexes in the area. I'll be staying unless I leave the area or buy a house.
