Where should I start'
"Management keeps the drug dealers out", which ones and when did this practice start' Apparently after they let in the ones who live here now, I have witnessed deals in the street in front of my house, very near to where a young man was recently shot, while he was not a resident he was visiting one, same difference in my book.

How can you tell people to care of their community when the "management" doesn't, last week a memo went out saying the COMMUNITY party room was booked for a party on the 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th, so the COMMUNITY Christmas gift wrapping party origionaly scheduled for the 17th was canceled. I had the room on the 18th, and it was trashed when we got into it, foot prints on table tops, beer bottles, bottle tops and two large bags of trash, that were leaking, still in the room, I did get an apology from the manager, as it was the S.L NUSBAUM (property management company) COMPANY PARTY the night before, wait didn't they cancel the COMMUNITY wrapping party on the 17th due to a party booking' What they forgot to tell everyone that was looking forward to a community event was it got cancelled so that they could have their own party there instead. Thank you S.L NUSBAUM for allowing my wife to clean up after your company party, at least we did get our room deposit back, after we cleaned it twice, once from their party and once from ours. To say the management here does not care is not entirely true either, they care you pay your rent on time if not you receive a 5 day to pay notice on the door, along with a letter from the management regarding the shooting the night before and a wanted poster from the county police for the shooter (not all at the same time, I am paraphrasing) but I am sure you get the point. How can anyone say "take some pride in the community" when the management by their own admission does not (refer to the comment on the state of the community room from their party) and when asked about it, they should not give the excuse of "I did not know there was a party there the next day" two days after sending out a notice that the room was booked for the 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th' Interesting, not only does the management not care, they will LIE to a resident when caught.

Now on to the trash, which is the fault of the residents, RESIDENTS, put your damn trash INSIDE the trash comapctor so that the poor staff member here can get on to better things to do. There is an older gentlemen employed here who does nothing more ALL DAY than pick up trash, this is why you can read reviews that rate the grounds highly, if it is your trash pick it up and put it INTO the compactor. Last time I checked children could not rent appartments by themselves, although to look at the bus stop you would think some of these children do not have parents (fights breaking out while elementary school kids wait for the bus is nice to see) but the parents, who I supose are adults, cannot be bothered to walk their elementary school kids the 200 feet from their appartemtns to the bus stop so I do not immagine they can be bothered to pick up their own trash or put it into the available, and last time I checked not broken, trash compactor.

Now onto community safety, since moving in there has been theft of car tires off of the cars here, a car burnt to the ground (arson), a shooting, who knows how many domestic disturbance calls (the police are pretty regularly sitting in front of the building on the backside of the complex), several car windows broken out, and drug deals in the street in front of my house, this is just a list of what I have seen in the 7 months I have lived here, yes there is crime everywhere, but it seems a little concentrated here, and no the answer is not a security guard sleeping in his car next to the leasing office, come on, lets get realistic.it is not untill the management instills a sence of community pride in the residents that the residents will come together to make it a better place to live.

My recomendations,

Management, quit lying to residents about filter changeouts and smoke detectors, the routine servicing is not gettign done so please quit blowing smoke up there and calling it a feather duster, it is simply not being done. Demonstrate to the residents you do have that you realy do care about them and the complex as a COMMUNITY and you might just reap what you sow. Do the routine maintenance, have community parties, show the residents how to care for the property and you might just get a different rep than that of a slumlord. And please stop giving out ten parking passes to the same household, it just defeats the purpose of the process.

Residents, take a minute out of your buisy schedule of watching TV and sleeping and put your trash where it belongs, play with your kids instead of trying to figure out how to make them turn 18 quicker, and keep them out of the damn road. The next time I come close to running over a 3 year old in the parkign lot with no parent in sight I will be calling child protective services, maybee if they are taken away and you are charged with neglect at least you won't have to deal with them and they might have a chance at finding someone who might just give a damn about them. PICK UP YOUR DOG POOP, I am sick and tired of stepping in it while walking in the common areas, there are poop recepticals all over the neighborhood USE THEM, or here is a novel thought GET RID OF THE 45 POUND DOG YOU AREN'T SUPPOSED TO HAVE HERE, there is a 25 pound limit for a reason, and there are count ordinances about the walking and cleaning up after a pet, keep them on the leash and clean up after them or you will be reported to the county animal control officer who will come, look at the evidence and take away your dog and give you a summons to appear, maybee you need the time off work though, your choice.
