I've been living in the projects for over three years now. The management is truly a bunch of idiots. They've gone through a manager per year. Maybe this is a training facility or something, I don't know. Regardless, the managers never improve.
The people that live here are stupid slobs. They drive like typical Virginia maniacs that can't wait to look at themselves in the mirror at the next red light. They drive the wrong direction at the circle and think that yield means go slow.
The airport makes more noise that I can stand at 5:00 in the morning. I pray to see one of the aircaraft take out the dumpster, which overflows daily because management locks the access door.
The construction of the units seem pretty much: "slap it together quickly" and "good enough, I'm not going to be living her."
The first summer here is when I found out that the neighbor's AC unit was connected to my electric panel.
Every summer we get a fresh batch of mushrooms and mold in our hallway.
If we get a good hard rainstorm, I need to set out breadpans on my kitchen windowsill and rig a drip system to keep the rain off my floor.
This is a controlled-income community and I've been audited every year at lease renewal time. Maybe because I pay my rent on time each month and find me as a "no-problem investigation". Maybe because I don't receive any goverment subsidies. But every year at audit time, I fill out the paperwork, supply evidence of income and debts, disclose my earnings from bank accounts, 401k,.....and this ---- takes months. They misplace files all the time or forget to have you fill out this.....
We're not allowed to have patio furniture or trash cans on the patio. And don't bother to bring your grill with you because it is taboo and you'll get eviction notices.
We got some new neighbors upstairs now. They have a dog that they keep indoors at all times. They throw his crap off their balcony. Now there's a big pile in our back yard.

Wow! Your getting the rough end seriously. I also live out here and I havbe to giveb them a 14% as well. Luckily I haven't had the rain, roach or mushroom problem but the damn spiders are horrible. I've been bitten more times than I can count and the spiders are poisenous. M doctor and I were trying to figure out why I've been sick since I moved out here and he just happened to notice what I thought to be a big bite, he said it was a spider bite, I caught one, brought it in and sure enough, its poisenous. I also don't rel on any governement subsidies, work a very good job, paid my rent on time ALL OF THE TIME and the children run this neighborhood, I'm sick of seeing them not being controlled by their parents and always in my hallways or outside my window. To top it off,my rental insurance company has given them a run for their money in not agreeing to add them to my policy because the fear that they will charge up my policy every time there is an issue so I'm being forced to move out and I'm gladly taking the opportunity to move to a non-tax credit community. Hope you do the same.
