I moved in not too long ago... so far, so good. I'm a part-time graduate student and work for a large consulting company in DC. Yes, there are a few people that look "shady" but you're going to have this no matter where you live. I have not seen the police here nor has anyone solicited drugs to me (judging by those I've met so far, I'd be surprised if they did). I owned a home in an up-scale neighborhood before coming here. There were a few shady-looking people there as well, esp with younger people sporting the "street" look these days. In fact, as far as kids hanging out causing trouble, my previous residence was worse.

My place here was remodeled and has new appliances, as many of the places here have been upgraded. Neighbors keep to themselves for the most part. Those I've met have been friendly. As for the sex-offender claim... I tried looking that up and could not validate the previous posting's claim. I have hardly seen any kids running around (thus, no groups of kids hanging around making noise). Any interactions with the management office have been pleasant. Also, there are minimum (not maximum) salary requirements to live here for both single and married people. I'm surprised no on mentioned this in the previous postings. Bottom line... If you're a working-class person(s) simply looking for a nice place to live, it's worth it to take a look at Sunnygate Village.

Nice fair review. Ouchies on the drive (or ride) to Dc for work. Traffic here sucks major arse!
