not a good place to live

i would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. my sister and i have lived here for almost a year and a half and we have had nothing but problems. first, it was the mold in my bedroom. then, it was the hole in the ceiling caused by the upstairs neighbors. and then from about the time we moved in almost a year and a half ago until now the upstairs neighbors keep us up all night because of their kids running throughout the house. it honestly sounds like they are going to fall through the roof. we have complained to probably everyone in the rental office, from just the usual employee all the way up to the manager and nothing has been done. they have claimed to write letters as well as phone the noisy neighbors, but nothing was solved. we have probably complained at least 10 times and nothing was done. they go all day and night and me or my sister cannot sleep. i probably have not slept a whole night in a year. we have also tried to get out of our lease early to move into a different apartment and they said 'no', that we would have to give them two months of rent. we will definetly be moving as soon as our lease is up in April.

I have lived in apartments for years and all over the United States. Apartment communities by law can not discriminate or even attempt to lead families with children to take lower floor apartments. In my experience as a renter, one day you can have the quiet little old lady living upstairs and then when she moves out, it can be a family. It is not up to the management to choose your neighbors.
Here at Tanglewood I have always received the best in customer service, both from the office staff as well as the very capable and professional maintenance staff. When I consider the good with the bad of apartment living, I am happy to report that Tanglewood has been among the best in taking care of those things that are within their control.
Have you considered renting a freestanding house if you are so sensitive as to not be able to handle the noise that comes with apartment living? By the way, do you sleep during the day or something, most children are asleep at night and not running around? It is sad that you feel the need to attempt to injure the reputation of this wonderful community and its staff, because of your own flaws.

The previous post is definitely management trying to make up for a shoddy community.
It would be awesome if you could actually deny renting to families for those of us that don't want to put up with their kids. And no, the kids around here DONT sleep at night, they mostly run, scream and fight in the apartments, and when they hit their teen years, they run, scream and fight out in the parking lots near your cars.
