We moved into Tanglewood in Jan from out of state. So far we haven't had any real problems. Our building is quite and there is plenty of parking by us. The appliances are a little older but they get the job done. The one thing that does annoy me the most about the apartment are the closet doors they do get stuck a lot and we are always spraying the tacks with WD 40. We have never had a bug problem and nothing has ever been done to our cars. Our lease is up in Jan but we have decided to stay another year. We like how they put some of your rent towards building a new home with their preferred builders. As for the complex it self we used the pool a lot this summer I would have enjoyed it more if the water was a little warmer, the pool is a nice size I wish they had more tables out though, and the hot tub never worked. The gym is ok a little small so we wound up joining a local gym. There is a lot of turn around in the office but I have never had any problems with the staff there. All and all it is a good transition apartment. Like I said we'll be here another year to save up for our house. The area that the complex is in is convenient to lots of stores and restaurants but does seem to have a lot of immigrants when we do go food shopping at times I feel like we are the only ones who don't speak Spanish. As for previous posts about only trash living here I'm surprised. There defiantly is a mix of families here but I guess your experience really depends on your neighbors. Any place you go your going to have a depth range of people. I have seen your poor white trash, your illegal immigrants, middle class and even some people who seem to be doing quite well around the complex all and al we keep to ourselves and have enjoyed our time here. Life is what you make of it.

I agree completely. My family and I have lived here since Feb. 2008. We live in the back part of the complex and have had no problems with our cars or neighbors. The closte do get stuck, A LOT, but that is not what I consider a big enough problem to make me want to move. We keep our apartment very clean, however we have seen some bugs, but only enough to count on one hand. Our building is very quiet and we never hear our neighbors. We would stay another year, however we are ready for a bigger place and a home of our own.

Please take notice of this review. If you pay close attention, this review becomes more like a red flag. Here's what I mean: -- "So far WE haven't had any real problems".. This is a deliberate deviation from the mass majority. Truth is that the MAJORITY of people that reside in Tanglewood are unhappy for various reasons. Most just know nothing about this website so you don't get to hear the other voices that would have something to say. I've lived there for 4 years and the place has only gone down hill since my residence. -- "OUR building is [quiet] and there is plenty of parking BY US".. Again, another exclusion that particularly point out the parking problems that Tanglewood has been plagued with since my residency. Truth is that only about 45% of Tanglewood has sufficient parking. The other 55% are parking there cars in visitor spots 200ft or more away from their door to accommodate for the lack of restraint on the number of vehicles that can be registered per apartment. If you're not okay with this notion, avoid all apartments that are situated in the center of the complex.. especially those at the bottom of the hills. -- "..the hot tub never worked". Maintenance is another big issue at Tanglewood. I don't know if they're not getting the support or if they are just lazy but, from my own personal experience, I would have to say the later. When my dishwasher when out, I was out a dishwasher for 2 weeks. When if finally got replaced, I found out that the replacement dishwasher had been sitting at their remote location for over 3 weeks. So why didn't I get help sooner? Because they didn't know they had it. The right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing. Sounds like a communication problem. On top of that, when they were servicing the A/C units last year, one of the units blew up due to improper installation killing a man's 2 year old pet cat in his bedroom. Good thing he wasn't asleep that night. DANGEROUS! "Yes" the closet doors do stick and they come off the track a lot but, honestly, that's not my gripe. Just be careful of your choices. They could cost you more than a cat and some grievances.
