so, I moved in not long ago and I don't understand these reviews. my place was fine when I moved in, the people seem ok in the office. I only had to call maintenece once and they came the next day for my fridge. I like it here, it's far from my job in dc but i'm getting transferred to just a few miles away, that's why i moved in. i like the washer and dryer, I never had that in dc. the fireplace will be great in the winter, but i don't know where I'm going to store the wood...any thoughts' I haven't seen any bugs like some of these people are saying. The gym seems small, but hey, it's free. anyway, so far so good.

Please make sure your fireplace wasn't painted inside. Ours was, rendering it un-useable. Don't know what kind of paint they used, and they didn't either. Who paints inside a fireplace anyway? I told them this 3 times and never once did they offer for me not to pay the $25 a month extra to have it.

Its safe to paint inside a fireplace. If you look at alot of the home improvement shows on HGTV they do it all the time to improve the $$$ amount of a house. Ours was painted and worked just fine last winter.

I read this and got concerned, so I asked them, the maintenance lady who has been here forever said it was heat safe paint form a professional paint company.
