I have lived here for 3 years and it is true they have notified us that they may be moving us to another apartment in the next few months. However, I have been in the office several times with complaints about how this place has looked run down. My neighbors across the way have done the same. I contact the previous managment company and the current one known as United Dominion. It seemed nobody cared until recently. Now they are taking action so how can we complain.

Now they are finally fixing up all the apartments that have cabinets that were falling apart. I rather live in something nice and finally its going to happen. Bravo!!!

I look forward to the improvements. What is the difference if they move you from one apartment to another that is much improved. I like living here and that I why I live here and not Georgetown South.

The complex will be a major construction zone for the next year- inside and out. FACT is rent on your renovated apartment will be on the average of 30% more than current rates. Improvement is certainly needed but it all comes at a price so don't be fooled into thinking you're getting a better place to live at the same price. After that year of higher rent, when the dust settles Georgetown South will still be just around the corner.

So leave... If you are that upset over it. And by the way Georgetown has been here how long??? I haven't had a problem... Get over it... sounds like you rather live in S*** and have us live in it too than pay for a nicer place.

They are not simply moving people from one apartment to another, they are serving people with notices to vacate within 120 days, regardless of how much time is left on the lease, citing this (http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?000 cod 55-222)
as a reason.

120 days is pretty generous. They have to work on the apartments some time. And I imagine it must be pretty expensive for them to do it one by one.
