I was completely surprised

I was very upset when we recieved a notice that our lease would not be renewed due to the management company taking our unit over to replace things and we would need to find another place to live or consider a transfer to another apartment at a higher price.
I thought it unfair. I went into the office to pay rent this month with another 2 months left to find somewhere to live and was asked if I would like a tour of a newer unit.
I was shocked at the improvements. I thought the apartments were ok before, a throwback to the eighties but livable. The new units look like new homes you would want to purchase. They put in track lighting, tile flooring, and the counter tops are just beautiful. It does seem pricey for the area but I have never lived in an apartment so grand. My husband and I are now torn. Even with the way we felt about being forced to move, we are now probably going to stay and move into a newer place and pay the higher price.
The office staff has not been as bad as others have stated. The maintenance team is usually very good about fixing things correctly. If you can afford the improvements and do not want the hassle of a house, The new apartments look like they are well worth it.
