I am in a renovated 1 bedroom.

Pluses:

BEAUTIFUL kitchens/bathrooms with all new appliances/track lighting/new carpet. Looks like a brand new house in there! :)

Storage closet off the patio...love that extra space to store my mountain bike!

The gym is nice, as is the raquetball court...too bad I need to use it more often LOL

Maintenance is quick in an emergency. They showed up within 20 minutes of my call placed at 6 am.

You can pay your rent online, but there is a $19.95 service fee to do so.

I have felt safe walking alone at 2 am to 7-11 (which is right around the corner). All areas are well-lit, although I have never seen a security guard...

Now for the cons:

The utilities are *NOT* included, so be ready for hefty electric/water bills your first month there. My 1st electric bill was $150 and Water $60! I have learned to go to the laundromat if I have a lot of laundry since the washer/dryer take up a LOT of electricty as does the heat/AC. The windows can get a bit drafty too so check for that before move-in and put up plastic if necessary.

The whole parking lot needs some SERIOUS repaving. I almost bent a rim in the back of the complex on a pothole.

Speeaking of, the tennis court needs some resurfacing too.

If you are the slightest bit heavy footed, the neighbors will complain. I guess the soundproofing between units needs improvement, even though my unit is carpeted, the person downstairs says they can hear me (a 145lb woman) walk around easily.

I wish the leasing office kept later hours more than one night a week. I can't make it from DC to Manassas by 6 when I don't get off until 5:30 or 6 most nights :(

Their snow removal SUCKED. One plow made one pass and didn't even put sand. The snow was still there 4 days later....

My bedroom is quite small, but the large walk-in closet makes up for it.

Overall I'd give the Wellington a 7/10. If they repaved the parking lots/tennis court and they manage to open the pool on time (Memorial day) I'd raise my rating to an 8.

I would stay one more year, but I need a townhouse next :)
