How Wellington Treated It's Residents AVOID

Not many people are aware of what Wellington Place did to all of its residents in 2006-2007, and continues to do now. I lived there for several years, and had to endure outside construction noise, and then they replaced cabinets and flooring all while we still lived in the units. But it gets worse.
The new owners, Dominion, decided in 2006 to redo the units again, and forced everyone out at the end of their leases. To this day, there are people who moved in not knowing that they will be told 10 months into their lease that they will need to move, or pay more to go to another unit. Wellington NEVER put a flyer in the over 300 units of residents to warn them, but only advertised a "community" party one day at which under 20 people showed. On that day, people were just distraught to find out what they were doing to residents who lived there for years. I pressed them to make sure they tell the residents, and some angry black guy and black woman told me that they don't have to do such a thing. When I found my new place, which I love, all of the other apartment complexes in Manassas told me that they heard what Wellington was doing to its loyal residents, and thought it was very bad.
The fact is, Wellington Place is still down the street from Georgetown South, the hispanic barrio of Manassas where most of the illegal immigrants live and where most of the crime is. Yet Wellington raised their rents to a ridiculous $1300 for a 600-sq foot one-bedroom apartment. I have a 928 sq. ft. apartment in a great area for $1120, full wash-dryer, and more. So, not only is Wellington not a good value for your money, not a safe area, but as you can see, they do not and will not treat their residents with dignity. Avoid them at all costs.

No doubt! Just because --------- live down the road from you doesn't mean that's where all the crime is! You may not like your apartments but you don't have to flash your boarder patrol badge!!

Wow, you took the words right out of my mouth. Ever since we moved here ive had nothing but problems with this place. They have lied to me from the very beginning. I hate this place more than ever. I used to live in downtown Portsmouth, VA. and i felt much more safe living there by myself than living here with someone. and i dont care if your racist or not, no one has the right to live illegaly and not pay taxes and take all of our money. i sure as hell wouldnt go to some other country and pull that stunt. Its not whether your racist or not, its if your smart enough to know the difference between right and wrong. living here illegaly is wrong! sorry. so i agree with you. and yes, i have heard about what they did to their residents. its wrong and let me say, ive told plenty people to aviod this place at all cost.
