Emergency maintenance is handled extremely poorly. Immediate emergency is taken care of, resulting mess and destruction of apartment is up to the tenant to nag relentlessly to get action taken to repair. Ant infestation greeted with "Exterminator is gone for the day, he'll be back next Wednesday" and only after badgering was it suggested that they could go get some ant killing spray to spray in the kitchen. "Emergency maintenance" line is a voice mail, calls are never returned and maintenance never comes/contacts until the next day. Maintenance staff does not speak english, they offer one word or broken english to explain why they are entering the apartment. Horrible communication between maintenance and management, different story from each person ("Cover your ---" lies), each explaining "I haven't seen it until now", "I was unaware of...", "I was told that...", only for those claims to be countered by the next person to tell the story. In the end all resulting in a smile on their face and no offer of help until it's demanded. You pay the rent so you don't have to worry about repairs or upkeep, but you have to go after them to get repairs or upkeep. 3rd and 4th floors (and some 2nd floors) are charged a "view fee" on top of the rent, I feel sorry for them. Construction now on-going across the street, 6:30-7am starting time. Chopped down all the trees, ruining part of the appeal of the complex.
