We have been in the townhouses for 2 years, and every spring and fall, we have ANT infestations in the bathrooms, the kitchen, the living room, and the foyer. This is the third year, and like clockwork, they're everywhere again. They've sprayed pesticide 3 times, and it only works temporarily. The problem is that the ants have multiple breeding colonies all throughout the complex. In essence, the entire block of townhomes has ant colonies throughout the foundation and woodwork. Because of this, there's no way to get rid of them without literally tearing down the entire block of townhomes. They're their permanately because the foundation and woodword were not sealed off properly when they were built. This is also the reason why there's a mold problem, because there's water damage from leaks.

I also have experinced BIG problems with ants... also in several rooms! They are very hard to get rid of but laying down bay leaves... yes bay leaves like you would use to season pasta sauce. My guess it ants don't like their smell and it drives them away. As long as the leaves are of reasonable quality (and they can be dried) they should work... esp if you find the (multiple) cracks the ants are coming in through. Just refresh the leaves every few months and you will remain 99% ant-free! It may sound strange but I promise you, give it a few days and it will work!!
