I lived here as a kid, 1978 to 1980, but it sounds like all the problems they ever had are alive and well. The roach problem was atrocious, even then. We had to empty our kitchen and bathroom at least every third month, sometimes more often. The living room was large, with french doors leading to a small patio, but the rest of the apartment was unremarkable, except for the roaches.
