As a first time homebuyer I entertained the idea of purchasing my 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment from the Gates of McLean. They are offering all residents a 5% discount on their existing apartment if they choose to purchase by late June. Apartments are starting in the upper $160s and quite honestly it is not worth the price. Yes, the location is great, but the quality of the apartments are less than par. The walls are extremely thin and the workmanship is awful. The Crescent Heights people will feed you whatever you want to hear, typical salesmen. "Yeah, if you look at The Fountains, the property value has already increased by $40,000. Oh and having the Gate will increase the value." Not at all true! Do yourself a favor and save your money for a better quality condo/townhome.
