the saga continues

So, to continue my post from 4/7/03, I am still getting gas bills from the Gates of McLean. I've been out of the complex 5 months and have contacted the leasing office numerous times about letting Washington Gas in to turn off the gas at my old apartment. The same story applies-- 'you are no longer a resident and do not have any authority to authorize anyone access to that apartment' yet 'you are still responsible for the gas bill as it is in your name.' The management would not let Washington Gas in to turn the gas off despite the fact I had a key release on file prior to my move-out date... Maybe I can BUY my old apartment/condo when my lease is up in Arlington, turn the gas off, and then sell the condo? I rue the day I heard of Gates of McLean.
