Overall, this complex is...alright.
Good Points
The workmen are able to keep the hallways, parking lots, and entrances clean. Occassionally, there are messes in the elevators, but I live in the animal apartments so that is to be expected from time to time. There is plenty of parking for you and your guests. The facilities are extremely nice, the pool, gym, sauna, tennis courts, basketball courts, trails for dogs, etc. The management is also making improvements by repainting the walls, floors, and doors. The apartments themselves are beautiful, even if they are on the small side.
Bad Points
The western apartments are right up against the beltway; you're never able to sleep with your windows open. Make sure you look through the blinds when you tour the place.
There isn't always notice of when certain projects will take place. For example, they painted our floors one evening and they weren't exactly dry by the time we woke up the next day. They also had to paint our doors and told us that they would have to be propped open to paint and that a guard would be watching our things.....I got home and there was no guard and my door was propped open.
In general, when I moved in last January I was promised certain things, such as package delivery, access to a business center, mall gift certificates, etc., that were not available when the management switched hands in February.
If you are looking to buy a place here, expect to replace all of the appliances. All of our brand new cheap GE ones broke within a few months.
The cable company for the complex is US Online....our cable never worked even after they "fixed" it 5 times. We had to cancel the service. If you want cable that works, you need to get a satelite.
In reference to the utilities, they aren't up to par. Our water has gone out 3 times since January for hours on end. Our electricity has gone out twice. I'm new to the area and maybe that is normal, but seeing that I've never had my power or water go out in Florida, I thought it was atrocious.
Another random bit of annoyance. One time the management office sent us a certified letter. We went to the office to pick it up and were told that they don't hold our mail anymore under any circumstances and told us to go to the post office. Went to the post office, the letter wasn't there. Went back to the office and the snotty receptionist finally gave us our letter with attitude and without apologizing.
Last, but not least, if it snows, you may be able to get out of the complex, but good luck to you trying to get back up the hill.
I would only recommend this place if you can get a great deal (under $950 for a one bedroom).
