I have lived in 2 apts. in Mclean, with The Gates being one of them. I have to disagree with the other post...they're just as crappy as Avalon..probably worse. The staff was helpful...but that fades once you've moved in. I've had my car broken into, and even paid the extra for the "garage," which is just a covered garage with a bunch of spots. Apartments feel like you're living in a hotel since the buildings are set up with a door, that then leads you into a building...people follow you through all the time, and they're not the best looking characters. The apartments are poorly constructed and it's just not worth the money. After this being my second apt. in McLean...I decided to leave the place as there is no need to pay so much to live in a dump.
