Sadly, but in all honesty, BAD

Ok, before I start with my complaints I want possible future tenants to know how I felt when I decided to move here.

I moved from Manhattan to Tysons Corner in 2000. When I saw the Lincoln at Tysons I thought it was very pretty, but when they showed me the courtyard apartments I fell in love, even though the price was(and still is) very high. The beauty of the place won me over........and I too became another sucker!

My major problem with the complex used to be with the incompetence of management but I think that has a lot to do with the fact that they have new staff practically every month (fired maybe'). And if you think that management won?t play a big role in your life.......you?re dead wrong. Believe me when I say that they basically decide how you will live. It may sound absurd, but no matter what you say or what you do it?s like talking to a wall. They?re not receptive and if they pretend to be it?s only to get you out of their face.

One of my concerns has been with noise and it?s not just a little bit trust me. I lived in Manhattan for so long and I never heard so much noice. Maybe because the walls weren?t so thin and the construction was actually stable! My advice, if you decide to live anywhere and they tell you that they will have some kind of construction, DON?T move in. God knows how long it will take to finish the project. I?ve heard that others have complained about this same problem but no one has fixed the situation.

My biggest complaint is about the overall construction of the complex. It?s horrible and I?m really surprised that Isabel didn?t blow us away this year. Last year when it rained, my apartment, which is on the first floor completely flooded. Whatever you do, don?t move into a 1st floor apartment (even though it may be tempting since the elevators never work)! So much of my furniture was damaged. It took management three days to respond to my problem.........can you believe that! The only thing they did was re-carpet my floor...........that?s it!

So, what?s good' The parking garage is not bad. The entire complex is pretty safe, although there have been some very shady characters (mainly construction workers) who seem to lounge around. The courtyard area is very beautiful (but don?t let that reel you in......it?s not worth it). The service crew (not mangement) is nice and they try to help out.

But all in all, don?t move here. I?m moving out very soon and I found some great deals right around the corner.

Best of Luck
